This absolutely stunning sterling silver spoon link bracelet is made from silver pattern with such a sweet name - Buttercup. Buttercup was a silver pattern of the Gorham Manufacturing Company and was a very popular design. This is SOLID silver - this is not silverplated.
Made from a pair upcycled antique sterling spoon handles, the spoon handles feature stunningly profuse floral design on both the front and the back of the piece. The two spoons were cut and bent into a delicate curve to form this lovely link bracelet. The links are connected with a jump ring jadeite green and crystal faceted beads accented with a rhinestone bead. Lobster clasp closure and extra length chain for variable sizing. All findings (jump ring, pin, chain and clasp) are sterling silver making this a truly heirloom piece.
This particular piece of silverware comes from the estate of Polly Bigger. Polly was born in Louisiana. After WWII she and her husband moved to Mt. Vernon, Iowa where her husband earned his degree from Cornell College. Later they owned Bigger Flower Shop & Greenhouse. Polly loved her family, she loved to cook (southern style) and she loved to share family stories. You are now owning something that Polly loved and cherished.
