Dime Cowgirl Hat Earrings - U.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt Dime

These earrings carry a spark of pure Western mischief—tiny cowgirl/cowboy hats coaxed into shape from real U.S. dimes. Each coin is hand‑formed until it becomes a perfect little brimmed hat, the kind that looks ready to tip hello from a dusty horizon. They’re playful, unexpected, and full of that “wait… are those dimes?” delight that makes people grin before they even pick them up. 

Made from Franklin D. Roosevelt dimes (minted 1946 to today), each hat still holds its original history: FDR’s profile, LIBERTY, In God We Trust, the mint mark and date; and on the reverse, the olive branch, torch, and oak branch. All that classic American iconography now tucked into a tiny silver hat with a whole lot of personality.

Dimensions: ~1-1/2" from top of hanging hook x ~3/4" tall x ~1/2" wide.

For all of our designs we choose wonderful authentic vintage/antique silverware. Once chosen, the pieces are modified and beautified by HAND; they are cut, drilled, filed and polished, etc. We do not cast/mold any of our designs, they are all handmade, one-of-a-kind creations. All of our creations are handmade - as such no two items are exactly alike.

Condition: Please note, this is an antique item that was once used as an active currency. As a result, there may be some wear to the piece, fine scratches or marks from use. But some wear gives the piece patina and personality. We do our best to disclose any condition issues of note.

NOTE: It is not illegal to make things out of coins. Under Section 331 of Title 18 of the United States code: “As a matter of policy, the U.S. Mint does not promote coloring, plating or altering U.S. coinage: however, there are no sanctions against such activity absent fraudulent intent. “ Naturally, you cannot spend the coin once it’s been turned into a new creation.
