The Story Behind Everything We Make
The Story Behind Everything We Make
Every piece of jewelry in my studio begins long before it reaches my hands. It starts as a vintage spoon, fork, or knife—an everyday object once held at family tables, tucked into velvet-lined drawers, or passed down through generations. These pieces arrive worn, tarnished, and full of history. I reshape them into jewelry that carries that history forward, giving old silver a new life and a new purpose.
Upcycled silverware jewelry is part craft, part archaeology, part love letter to the past. It’s a way of honoring the artistry of early 20th‑century silversmiths while creating something deeply personal for the present. No two pieces are ever the same, because no two pieces of silverware ever lived the same life.
A History Held in Every Pattern
A History Held in Every Pattern
Vintage silverware was once designed with extraordinary care. Makers like Rogers, Oneida, and Wallace created patterns that reflected the art movements of their time—Art Nouveau florals, Deco geometrics, Victorian scrolls, mid‑century minimalism. These motifs weren’t just decoration; they were symbols of beauty, prosperity, craftsmanship, and cultural identity.
When I work with these patterns, I’m working with tiny sculptures. A single spoon handle might hold a bouquet of lilies, a curling vine, a seashell, or a stylized sunburst. These details become the heart of each piece of jewelry, preserved and celebrated rather than melted down or forgotten.

How We Transform Silverware into Jewelry
How We Transform Silverware into Jewelry
The process begins with sourcing vintage silverware—often tarnished, bent, or overlooked. I clean each piece, study its pattern, and decide what it wants to become. Some handles become rings. Some bowls become
pendants. Some pieces become expressive faces or sculptural forms.
I cut, shape, and form each piece by hand, using traditional hand and tool techniques to bend the silver without losing the original pattern. Every curve, every contour, every polished edge is done slowly and intentionally. The goal is always the same: preserve the soul of the silver while giving it a new voice.
The final finish is done by hand, too—soft, luminous, and full of character. You’ll see tiny marks of its past life if you look closely. That’s part of the magic.
Why Upcycling Matters
Why Upcycling Matters
Upcycling is more than a technique—it’s a philosophy. It’s choosing to work with what already exists, honoring the materials we have, and creating beauty without waste. It’s a way of slowing down, paying attention, and giving forgotten objects a second chance.
Every piece of upcycled silverware jewelry carries:
- a history
- a transformation
- a story
- a soul
It’s jewelry with a past, shaped for your present.
