The ORIGINAL Ergonomic Heart‑Handle Spoon Cheese Knife — a Laughing Frog Studio creation first introduced in 2018.

This design began as one of Matt’s late‑night workshop experiments back when we were still in the Chicago suburbs. It was a simple “what if…” moment that turned into a piece that feels deeply, unmistakably ours. We built it from scratch, long before anything similar existed.

When we released the first one, there truly weren’t any comparable pieces on the market. Pricing it was a challenge because we were stepping into completely new territory. Since then, this knife has grown into one of our most recognizable designs — right up there with our Casserole Spoon Belt Buckles — and we’re proud that it started with us.

HANDcrafted from an upcycled vintage serving spoon, each knife blends sustainability with thoughtful, functional design. The heart‑shaped handle features our original ergonomic finger‑indent concept, allowing you to apply steady downward pressure for easier, safer cutting of firm cheeses and charcuterie meats.

This piece brings both charm and purpose to any charcuterie board. It’s the kind of tool guests reach for, admire, and immediately ask about.

Every knife is cut, shaped, bent, sharpened, and finished entirely by hand. No two will ever be exactly alike — that’s the beauty of true craftsmanship and the signature of an authentic Laughing Frog Studio original.

For all of our designs we choose wonderful authentic vintage/antique silverware. Once chosen, the pieces are modified and beautified by HAND; they are cut, drilled, filed and polished, etc. We do not cast/mold any of our designs, they are all handmade, one-of-a-kind creations. All of our creations are handmade - as such no two items are exactly alike.

Condition: Please note, this is an antique item that was once used as a utensil. As a result, there may be some wear to the silver-plate, fine scratches or marks from use. But some wear gives the piece patina and personality. We do our best to disclose any condition issues of note. There is a slight little dimple in the center of the design.
