The ORIGINAL Ergonomic Heart‑Handle Spoon Cheese Knife — handcrafted from a 1946 Tudor Plate Queen Bess II vintage serving spoon. This design has been a Laughing Frog Studio signature since 2018, created from scratch in our little workshop and refined through years of hands‑on making.  

Born from a late‑night studio experiment, this upcycled silverware cheese knife became one of our most recognizable pieces. When we first introduced it, there was nothing else like it — a true original in both form and function.

Each knife is HANDcrafted from an authentic vintage Queen Bess II spoon, giving it a timeless floral pattern and a sturdy feel. The heart‑shaped ergonomic handle — complete with our original finger‑indent design — offers comfortable grip and direct downward pressure for easier, safer cutting of firm cheeses. It’s functional, sustainable, and unmistakably handmade.

For all of our designs we choose wonderful authentic vintage/antique silverware — giving each piece a second life as eco-friendly, upcycled jewelry, accessories or housewares. Once chosen, the pieces are modified and beautified by HAND; they are cut, drilled, filed and polished, etc. We do not cast/mold any of our designs, they are all handmade, one-of-a-kind creations. All of our creations are handmade - as such no two items are exactly alike.   

Condition: Please note, this is an antique item that was once used as a utensil. As a result, there may be some wear to the silver-plate, fine scratches or marks from use. But some wear gives the piece patina and personality. We do our best to disclose any condition issues of note. The back side of this piece has a handful of scratches, as you can see, but this proves it has history.
