Each vase begins as a vintage silver‑plate holloware knife handle from R.C. Co.’s Avalon pattern—a design known for its soft Art Deco curves and romantic, almost storybook detailing. Avalon was crafted to feel elegant without being fussy, a pattern that looked right at home in both everyday meals and special occasions. That quiet grace carries beautifully into its second life.

We cut the handle at its naturally hollow point, then grind, file, and buff it until it’s smooth and gleaming. A strong magnet or suction cup completes the transformation, turning this little piece of 20th‑century craftsmanship into a tiny hanging vase ready to hold a fresh bloom. 

A touch of Avalon’s vintage elegance, a dash of modern whimsy, and a whole lot of personality—this is upcycling with heart.

All of our creations are handmade - as such no two items are exactly alike.

Condition: Please note, this is an antique item that was once used as a utensil. As a result, there may be some wear to the silver-plate, fine scratched or marks from use. But some wear gives the piece patina and personality. We will do our best to disclose any condition issues of note.
