Native Wings Spoon Necklace with Stone Bead on Circle - #5562
Native Wings” is a design inspired by a cherished necklace my mother‑in‑law gave me decades ago — a sterling Native American piece that recently landed on my studio bench for a simple clasp repair. While it waited in the queue, it struck me that we could create something equally beautiful using the silverware scraps we’ve collected over the years.
Turns out, I was right. This necklace became a true collaboration between Matt and me, and the result is absolutely stunning. The large “feather” panels are actually the edges of spoon bowls removed from another project. The round medallion beneath the turquoise-colored bead is another silverplate spoon scrap. The stone rests in a bezel made from a fork tine, and the dangling feathers are fork tines as well. It all hangs gracefully from a silverplate chain.
Please note: this piece is a genuinely handmade silverware creation — not a cast replica. Every element comes from authentic, upcycled flatware.

For all of our designs we choose wonderful authentic vintage/antique silverware. Once chosen, the pieces are modified and beautified by HAND; they are cut, drilled, filed and polished, etc. We do not cast/mold any of our designs, they are all handmade, one-of-a-kind creations. All of our creations are handmade - as such no two items are exactly alike.
Condition: Please note, this is an antique item that was once used as a utensil. As a result, there may be some wear to the silver-plate, fine scratches or marks from use. But some wear gives the piece patina and personality. We do our best to disclose any condition issues of note.
