Spoon Mermaid Whale Tail Necklace

This mermaid tail necklace carries that easy, salt‑air spirit Laughing Frog Studio pieces are known for. It began as the bowl of a vintage silverplate teaspoon—cut, shaped, and hand‑finished into a soft, contoured tail that could belong to a mermaid, a whale, or any ocean‑loving soul. Every curve is done by hand, no molds, no shortcuts, just old silverware getting a second life with a little sea magic.

To bring in the beach‑life vibe, the pendant is accented with a crystal bead and a jadeite‑colored bead—tiny pops of ocean light and sea‑glass green that make the whole piece feel like it washed ashore just for you.

For all of our designs we choose wonderful authentic vintage/antique silverware. Once chosen, the pieces are modified and beautified by HAND; they are cut, drilled, filed and polished, etc. We do not cast/mold any of our designs, they are all handmade, one-of-a-kind creations. All of our creations are handmade - as such no two items are exactly alike. 

Condition: Please note, this is an antique item that was once used as a utensil. As a result, there may be some wear to the silver-plate, fine scratches or marks from use. But some wear gives the piece patina and personality. We will do our best to disclose any condition issues of note.
