Spoon Ring - OXFORD - #6230

This handcrafted spoon ring is made from an original William Rogers & Sons Oxford silverplate spoon, introduced in 1901 during the final years of the Victorian era. The Oxford pattern is known for its bold scrollwork, sculpted curves, and that unmistakable turn‑of‑the‑century elegance — ornate without being fussy, detailed without losing its clean silhouette.

Formed from the spoon’s decorative handle, the ring carries more than a century of history in its raised scrolls and smooth contours. In its first life, Oxford graced polished dinner tables, catching candlelight in every curve. Eventually it was tucked away, forgotten but still proud — waiting for someone to see its potential beyond the drawer.

It arrived in the studio with great bones and an even better attitude. A little heat, a little shaping, and a touch of maker‑magic brought it into its new life as a vintage silverware ring — still carrying every bit of its original charm, just in a new form meant to be worn, loved, and shown off.

William Rogers & Sons were known for their craftsmanship and durability, and the Oxford pattern remains one of their most recognizable designs. Now reimagined as upcycled spoon jewelry, this ring lets a piece of Victorian history have its moment again.

Condition: Please note, this is an antique item that was once used as a utensil. As a result, there may be some wear to the silverplate, fine scratches or marks from use. But some wear gives the piece patina and personality. We do our best to disclose any condition issues of note. This is a lot of pitting on the silverplate of this piece, but the overall design was too cool to not create a ring out of it. If you are like me, the wear it what gives it character.
